Brief & vision
The site that was given to us was on a clifftop in the south of Bali, with fantastic panoramic views of the Indian ocean. Andy Fisher Workshop was tasked to test the site and its sloping terrain to design a luxury facility for its exclusive guests.
One Ungasan questions and explores the traditional typology of a resort hotel. One Ungasan is a private club offering Owners the full facilities of a resort hotel.
One Ungasan casts a singular form on the skyline, providing guests and Owners with dramatic ocean views.
Conceptual approach
Swimming pool wrap the building footprint and public facilities utilize the steep terraces. The glazed exterior uses multiple colour tones selected to closely resemble the tones form the ocean. The reflective surface transferring their surrounding onto the building façade.
